Trek Domane SLR 6 Disc Road Bike Gen 4 2023 Pairing electronic shifting with an adaptable, hi-tech frame, the Trek Domane SLR 6 Disc Road Bike Gen 4 is real-world fast across a variety of terrain. The key to its versatility is the Gen 4 frame. Made from 800 Series OCLV Carbon it is light and stiff where necessary with improved Kammtail tubing for better aerodynamics, yet Trek’s IsoSpeed concept provides cossetting comfort on rough roads and lanes. In keeping with the Domane’s broad remit, the drivetrain has a wide range of gears, with a 50/34 chainset and 11-34 cassette, so even very steep gradients or high mountains can be tamed. The system can be connected via Bluetooth to both GPS units and smartphones for a plethora of information and ride data along with the ability to customise certain shifting functions. Carbon wheels from Bontrager match the bike’s versatility, with 37mm deep rims that lower drag at speed but provide stability in crosswinds and are plenty light enough to launch attacks uphill. The rims and 32mm tyres are tubeless-ready so can be set up for more grip, greater comfort and fewer punctures very easily.
