Focus Izalco Max 8.7 Disc Road Bike 2021
More than just fast, the Focus Izalco Max 8.7 Disc Road Bike is a versatile race weapon. To find the perfect balance of weight and aerodynamics, Focus designed the Izalco in the wind tunnel. This build process shows in the frame, with Kamm tail tube profiles and internally routed cables highlighting the bikes fast intentions. With an ultra-low weight of 1040g for the frame alone, the Izalco is built with outright speed in mind.
The 8.7 sees a 45mm deep carbon Alex Rims wheelset specified, reducing rotational weight and increasing the bike's acceleration for a lively ride feel. A D-profile seatpost with 15mm offset adds comfort without impacting on the frames race-oriented geometry. Focus has achieved this by pushing the seatpost forwards to compensate, reducing the effective offset to only 2mm. This comfort can be further improved through the use of wider tyres, with the frame having clearance for those up to 28mm.
Focus Izalco framesets feature their unique floating Rapid Axle Technology (R.A.T). This allows for the best of both worlds, combining the stability and ease of a thru-axle with the speed of quick release. A full Shimano 105 groupset offers longevity and reliable performance, ideal for those looking to take their first steps into racing.

Built, Checked, Tuned and Tested
All our bikes are fully built, checked, tuned and tested by our Cytech qualified mechanics and then securely packaged, ready for delivery. All you have to do is add the pedals (if included), attach the handlebars to the stem and tighten them following the included detailed instructions or by watching our video and using the provided FREE tools. All bikes collected from our shop, are built, tested and ready to ride. For hassle-free home delivery and bike set-up from a qualified mechanic use our Premier Delivery Service.
Please note, occasionally, manufacturers may change the specification without notice. Bicycles do not come with pedals unless otherwise specified. Bikes ordered for delivery will not arrive with the pedals installed, please refer to the owners manual and pedal installation guides provided for guidance. We do not install accessories to bikes, including mudguards. Bikes ordered for delivery that have tubeless compatible tyres and rims will arrive with inner tubes installed or with tubeless valves installed, this will be brand dependent. Sealant is available to be purchased separately.
